Demo Day Invitation

The top 5 finalist are required to fly out to Detroit for demo day. Does the invitation include a stipend for airfare/hotel/etc? Or is everything left to the invited attending participants?

    Hey Anees,

    Great question. At this point, there is no stipend being offered for travel, but it is not a requirement that finalists appear at Demo Day. The rules state, "Finalists are strongly encouraged to attend the Finalist Demo Day in-person. Finalists unable to travel to Detroit, MI may be allowed to demonstrate their entry virtually at the sole discretion of the Sponsor."

    Hey Tom,

    You brought up a great question. We discussed it a lot and the rules are now more definitive: "Finalists are strongly encouraged to attend the Finalist Demo Day in-person, but are not required to do so. Finalists unable to travel to Detroit, MI will be allowed to present their entry remotely with a method of the Sponsor’s choosing." I hope this is helpful!
