NEW: Top winners receive mentorship & interviews for Techstars 2017

Christmas is coming early, mobility hackers: we just added a new prize to the Go Detroit awards. In addition to cash prizes, the first, second, and third place winners will also receive interviews for the 2017 Techstars Mobility Accelerator program, as well as two 30-minute mentoring sessions with the Techstars Mobility investment team.

Techstars Mobility, driven by Detroit focuses on the rapidly changing mobility and transportation industry. The program looks for software, hardware, and advanced materials businesses across all stages of development — pre-seed, seed, Series A and later. No startup is too far along to see a huge benefit from participation in the program.

Techstars defines mobility as technologies that power the efficient movement of people, goods, and services across all modes of transportation. They look for startups that not only fit this thesis but also align across innovation themes including: connected car, trucking and multi-modal transportation solutions across connectivity, mobility, autonomy, customer experience, big data, safety, and security.

Techstars is committed to operating this program in Detroit, operating at the intersection of Detroit’s automotive dominance and its entrepreneurial resurgence. For more about the benefits of being a Techstars member, including $100,000 in convertible note funding upon program acceptance, read their FAQ

We’ll spare you a pun about revving up your innovation engines — but, you know, have a great holiday and please send us questions if you have them.
